


BEFORE USE
- ALWAYS buckle and secure all straps on the Avi Vest before entering avalanche terrain paying close attention to the leg loop and compression straps under your arms.
- ALWAYS remove the activator handle from the activator pocket on your left shoulder and place the activator in the “ON” position. See your owner’s manual for more information.
- Periodically check the pressure gauge located in the pocket on the left hip. Gauge should be in the green. If gauge is not in green discontinue use and recharge the canister following your owner’s manual.
- DO NOT cover or close the air bag pocket lid located on the top of your Avi Vest.. The air bag must be able to exit the air bag pocket in order to inflate.
- ALWAYS be cautious of sharp objects around the air bag located in the top of your Avi Vest.
- Read and follow the instructions and warnings that accompany your Avi Vest before using it and for cleaning and care instructions.
AFTER USE WITH NO INFLATION
- Restore activator handle to activator pocket and secure zipper. This will prevent accidental inflation.
- DO NOT place near a high heat source or expose Avi Vest to prolonged sunlight. The high pressure air bottle in the Avi Vest should not exceed 130 F.
AFTER USE WITH INFLATION

IN THE EVENT OF AN AVALANCHE
- Strongly jerk the activation handle downwards and away from body.
- Attempt to ski out of avalanche.
- Lock arms over chest and place hands over face.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Keep device clean, dry and free of dirt build up.
- Only spot clean with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash or place in dryer!
- Store Avi Vest in cool dry area. Direct sunlight will reduce the lifetime of device.
- Periodically check Avi Vest for cuts and deformities. Please return the device to Avi Vest for service if these are found at:
